WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue Football continued its fall camp schedule on a sunny Tuesday morning (Aug. 5) at the Bimel Outdoor Practice Complex.

Tuesday's practice comes before Purdue's second day off of fall camp on Wednesday. The Boilermakers will then be in full pads for the first time during fall camp on Thursday.

The Boilers had their final players-only media session on Tuesday that featured defensive back An'Darius Coffey, wide receiver Michael Jackson III, defensive lineman TJ Lindsey and offensive lineman Ethan Trent.

Devin Mockobee Earns Spot on Doak Walker Award Watch List

Shortly after the Boilermakers completed Tuesday's practice, running back Devin Mockobee was named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List for a third straight season. The award is presented annually to the nation's top collegiate running back.

The recognition is Mockobee's second of the season after he was named to the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List for his community service, academic excellence and athletic achievement on July 31.

Mockobee is Purdue's leading rusher in each of the last three seasons and enters the 2025 season sixth in program history in 100-yard rushing games (eight), ninth in rushing yards (2,466) and 10th in rushing touchdowns (19). He is 1,170 rushing yards away from Mike Alstott's career rushing record.

"Being an older guy, I'm just trying to show the guys how to be a college football player. Being responsible, mature, and trying to show them how to do things the right way. I'm coming in to be a leader and try to help us win a lot of games."

Michael Jackson III on His Experience With the Purdue Staff

"Coach Odom and Coach Henson have a good thing going. They have a great plan for the team and we all want to win. The plan that Coach Odom has and the coaches he's building around here are amazing. He's doing an amazing job."

TJ Lindsey on the Strengths of the Defensive Line

"Everybody has power and speed at the position that's elite. I think we have some really good depth. When we come out, there's no let-off. They're just as good, athletic and strong. We all know our stuff and can go out there and communicate."

Ethan Trent on Entering His First Season on Scholarship

"It feels good to know that you're valued in a program. When coaches count on you, that's a good thing, and the pressure is a good thing."
