Football Game Day Information

Digital Entry

Purdue Athletics utilizes a mobile-only system for ticketing and parking. On game day, fans will enter Purdue Athletics venues and parking lots using digital tickets on their mobile device.

Student Entrances

All students with a valid student ticket must enter through Gates A or B. Upon entry, students will receive a game-specific wristband that is required for access to the student section. Students who do not enter through Gates A or B will not receive a wristband and will not be permitted in the student section.

Fan Entrances

General admission fans may enter the stadium through any gate except Gates A and B. Gate A is reserved for student and ADA tickets only, while Gate B is reserved exclusively for student tickets.

ADA Entrances

Accessible entry is available at Gates A, EE, GG, and the Pavilion. These locations are designated to accommodate individuals with disabilities and provide an accessible and enjoyable entry into Ross-Ade Stadium.

Cashless Venue

Ross-Ade is 100% cashless. Concessions and merchandise stands will NOT accept cash. Please note, there is no option to convert cash to card.

Clear Bag Policy

Purdue Athletics follows a clear bag policy. CLICK HERE for more details, including a list of prohibited items.

Ticket Office

The Hayes Family Athletic Ticket Office is located on the East Side of Mackey Arena, off of Northwestern Avenue.

Football Game Day Hours: Opens three hours prior to kickoff, and closes at the end of halftime.

8 Hours Prior to Kickoff

Parking Lots Open: Parking lots will open 8 hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8 AM ET.

3 Hours Prior to Kickoff

Boilermaker Crossing Opens: Stop by the Boilermaker Crossing located in the Weist Plaza between Holloway and Mackey for some family fun! Click here to learn more about the Boilermaker Crossing.

Ticket Office Opens: The Hayes Family Athletic Ticket Office, located on the East Side of Mackey Arena, will open 3 hours prior to kickoff.

Shuttle Services Begin: Game day shuttle service will begin 3 hours prior to kickoff, and will end one hour following the conclusion of the game. Click here to view a map of game day shuttle routes.

2 Hours, 15 Minutes Prior to Kickoff

Team Walk: Stop by the Team Walk located on Tiller Drive to cheer on the Boilermakers in their arrival on game day! 

2 Hours Prior to Kickoff

Pavillion Opens: Fans with tickets located in the Pavilion can enter as early as 2 hours before kickoff.

1 Hour, 45 Minutes Prior to Kickoff

Ross-Ade Brigade Entry: Members of Ross-Ade Brigade can enter through gate B as early as 1 hour and 45 minutes before kickoff.

1 Hour, 30 Minutes Prior to Kickoff

Band Concert on Slayter Hill: Head over to Slayter Hill 90 minutes before kickoff for the All-American Marching Band concert on Slayter Hill! This game day tradition features the full marching band accompanied by cheerleaders, Purdue Pete, and guest Purdue celebrities.

All Entry Gates Open to the Public: General fans can enter Ross-Ade stadium as early as 1 hour and 30 minutes before kickoff.

All Parking passes are digital and should be downloaded to your mobile device after purchasing. Click here for instructions on how to download your parking pass. Select lots are available for purchase on game day, but purchasing a parking pass in advance is preferred. 

Day of Parking

Day of parking is first come, first served, dependent upon lot availability after season permit and advance online salesLots available for purchase on game day include Northwestern Garage, University Garage, IM Fields, AA, BB, CC, EE, FF, GG, Driving Range, Grass Triangle, O (ADA), Northwest Athletic Complex, Armory, PUSH, RV2, RV4.

RV Parking

RV Parking Lots: RV1, RV2, RV3 and RV4

RV1 and RV3 are for John Purdue Club members. To join JPC, please visit JohnPurdueClub.com. 5th wheels are not permitted in RV1 or RV3 and will be redirected to RV2 or RV4.

RV2 is available for season passes or day-of-game via credit card. Passes for this lot are $100 in advance, or $120 on game day. To purchase a season pass, please call: 765.494.3194 or 800.497.7678. 
RV4 is available for day-of-game purchase via credit card. Passes for this lot are $100 in advance, or $120 on game day.
All RV lots open at 6 p.m. on Friday or the day prior to a home football game. Due to the campus use of all RV parking lots, staging and entering an RV lot will not be permitted prior to 6 p.m. on Friday or the day prior of a home football game. All RVs must be removed from lots by 10 a.m. on Sunday or the day following a home football game.
RV1 and RV3 must have an additional parking pass for attached car. RV2 and RV4 parking pass includes attached car.
 

ADA Parking

ADA Parking Lots: O, H, EE

ADA patrons who do not have a season parking pass may park in O Lot and EE Lot.  O & EE Lots are first come first serve and day of lot availability is dependent upon season permits.  ADA parking in both lots is $34 on game day.

All vehicles must have an ADA placard or license plate displayed in/on the vehicle to park in either lot. The owner must be present in the vehicle when entering the ADA lot.

H Lot is a John Purdue Club permit lot - for more information, please call the John Purdue Club at 765.494.2582. If you have specific questions related to ADA parking prior to gameday, please call the Hayes Family Athletics Ticket Office at 800.49.SPORT.

Bus Parking

Bus Parking: For all fan buses, bus parking is located on Third Street between McCormick Road and McCutcheon Drive. Bus parking may be bought ahead of time via pre-sale for $64 or day-of for $70 via credit card. For pre-sale purchase, please call the Hayes Family Athletics Ticket office at 765-494-3194.

Game Day Shuttle Buses

All Purdue gameday shuttle services are complimentary and seats are first come, first served. Gameday shuttle service begins at least three hours prior to kickoff and ends one hour following the conclusion of the game.

Fans are asked to be courteous to fans around them. Please refrain from smoking and using abusive or profane language. Alcohol, weapons and non-service animals are prohibited.

North Route: CC/EE lots, Northwest Athletic Complex, Turf Research (west side of Driving Range), north of Ross-Ade Stadium on Beering Drive, southwest of Ross-Ade Stadium at bottom of Hilltop Loop near C lot

South Route: McCormick road bus pull-off, Pickett Park entrance, Co-Rec roundabout, RV2, north of Ross-Ade Stadium on Hilltop Loop behind K lot, bottom of Hilltop Loop near C lot

O lot (South ADA) Shuttle: O lot, north of Ross-Ade Stadium near gate G, south of Ross-Ade Stadium at corner of Beering and Tower

EE lot (North ADA) Shuttle: EE lot, north of Ross-Ade Stadium near gate G

As our community grows for each athletic event, it's important that Purdue Athletics and the fan community partner in safety. See tailgating policies below.

Bands / DJs / Live Music

Speakers that can stand alone, are excessively loud, or are connected to an amplifier are prohibited. Live bands or DJs are also not permitted.

Drones and Remote Controlled Aircraft

The use and/or operation of remote controlled equipment (including drones and toys) is strictly prohibited on campus – including game days. All grounds and parking lots are considered part of campus.

Glass

Glass containers are prohibited – all beverages must be in aluminum or plastic containers.

Grills

Grilling in parking structures is prohibited. Only propane grills can be used. Charcoal grill or deep fryer use is prohibited on University property. The maximum accepted propane cylinder size is 20 lbs.

Kegs

Kegs are not permitted on campus, in the parking lots, or adjacent areas.

Motorized Vehicles

Golf carts, mopeds, scooters, ATVs, hover boards and other custom motorized vehicles are not permitted on campus unless authorized by Purdue Athletics and/or the Purdue Police Department.

Recreational Fires

Fans are permitted to have a recreational fire completely enclosed in a commercially manufactured portable outdoor fireplace with a screen. The fire shall not be ignited with flammable liquids. The portable outdoor fireplace shall not be operated within 25 feet of a structure or combustible materials. The fire shall be constantly attended, and shall be extinguished when not attended. Smoldering embers shall not be disposed of in a dumpster. No open burning shall occur. Wood burning/charcoal fires are not permitted in golf course lots.

Weather Guidelines

Purdue has a long-standing partnership with the National Weather Service to monitor weather conditions. Many cell phone apps are also available for you to monitor predicted weather on game day.

Weather Warnings / Watches

High Wind Warning: issued when 40 MPH+ winds are sustained for an hour or more, and/or wind gusts of 58 MPH. At this time, use of any tailgating equipment, tents or temporary structures is prohibited.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch: issued when conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms, including hail over 1" and winds of 58 MPH or more. At this time, begin to tear down and safely store equipment, tents or temporary structures. Fans should locate the nearest shelter.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning: issued when a thunderstorm is producing or will soon produce large hail and high winds, capable of causing significant damage. At this time, tear down and safely store equipment, tents or temporary structures. Fans should proceed to the nearest shelter.

Tornado Watch: issued when conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes. At this time, begin to tear down and safely store equipment, tents or temporary structures. Fans should locate the nearest shelter.

Tornado Warning: issued when a tornado is indicated by radar or spotters. At this time, immediately tear down and safely store equipment, tents or temporary structures. Fans should proceed to the nearest shelter.

Wind

Purdue Athletics requires all patrons to follow manufacturer recommendations on set-up, tear down and securing of any tents, including the wind speed rating of all tents or temporary structures.

Light winds: includes sustained winds 1 to 15 MPH. All tent and temporary structures shall be properly anchored to the ground in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Occupy tent or temporary structure with normal caution and awareness, and monitor/secure items that may be susceptible to being blown around.

Windy conditions: includes sustained winds of 16 to 30 MPH for an hour or more, and/or wind gusts of 35 to 45 MPH. Disassemble all tents and temporary structures not rated for wind speeds greater than 15 MPH. Monitor/secure items that may be susceptible to being blown around.

Wind advisory: issued when 31 to 39 MPH winds are sustained for an hour or more, and/or wind gusts of 46 to 57 MPH. Disassemble all tents and temporary structures not rated for wind speeds greater than 30 MPH.

High wind watch: issued when 40 MPH+ winds are sustained for an hour or more, and/or wind gusts of 58 MPH. At this time, use of any tailgating equipment, tents or temporary structures is prohibited.

Purdue Athletics lets fans have the opportunity to show a special message to their loved ones on gameday. Messages can include birthdays, anniversaries, retirement wishes, etc.

Football messages will be sold for $100 each on a first-come, first-served basis. A maximum of ten messages will be shown sometime during the second half of each home game. Football messages will be shown on the main south endzone videoboard during home games.

Messages are limited to 45 characters each, including spaces and any punctuation. Purdue Athletics reserves the right to approve or deny any message. No profanity or mention of any business is allowed. No marriage proposals of any kind will be allowed.

You'll find various merchandise stands positioned along the concourse, along with an exterior merchandise location.

Permanent team stores are located at 714 Northwestern Ave and inside the Stewart Center. On game days, pop-up stores will also be open at Slayter Hill, R Lot, the Pavilion, and an in-venue location in the northeast corner of the stadium.

Main Stadium Location at Gate E (Wooden Drive) - 6 hours prior to kickoff, but not earlier than 9 AM
Slayter Trailer - 6 hours prior to kickoff, but not earlier than 9 AM
