WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Just four more weeks of the 2024 NFL season remain after the conclusion of Week 14. Five former Boilermakers earned playing time around the league.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. continued his breakout rookie season with another touchdown for the New York Giants, his fifth of the year.
Tracy posted a game-high 45 rushing yards on 16 carries along with five catches for 38 yards. He ranks second among all rookies on the ground with 664 yards on the season.
Aidan O'Connell started at quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders, completing 11 of 19 passes for 104 yards before suffering a knee injury at Tampa Bay.
Despite being carted off the field, O'Connell's injury diagnosis was a bone bruise, and it is not expected to be a season-ending injury.
"Furious" George Karlaftis continued to be a game-wrecker for the Kansas City Chiefs, adding two more quarterback hits to his season total of 19. He also notched two tackles, one solo, in the Chiefs' win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Jalen Graham was elevated from the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad a second consecutive week and made an impact in the Niners' 38-13 blowout over the Chicago Bears.
He notched his first career tackle-for-loss, totaling two tackles, one solo and a special teams stop on a punt return.
Additionally, Payne Durham recorded an assisted tackle in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 28-13 win against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Pro Boilers went 3-2 around the league in Week 14. Former Purdue players are a combined 46-41 this season when active in a game.
