2025-26 / AS A FRESHMAN
• Mayer had a strong freshman season, averaging 5.5 points, 1.2 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 14.3 minutes per game. Shot 41.2 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from 3-point range.
• Posted five games of at least 10 points, including a career-high 18 points in a win over Indiana. Went 6-of-8 from the field and 4-of-5 from 3-point range against the Hoosiers.
• Posted the sixth-best 3-point percentage among Big Ten freshman (.355) for the whole season. However, in league games only, shot 44.2 percent (23-of-52) from deep – the top percentage in Big Ten play by a freshman. His 44.2 percent was 10th nationally among all freshmen in conference play only.
• Tallied 14 points with six assists and four rebounds in an early-season win over NCAA Tournament team Akron.
• Had 11 points in a win over No. 15 Texas Tech and added 10 points in a win over Eastern Illinois in the next game. Also had 11 points in the contest against No. 11-ranked Illinois.
• Had nine points and three assists in the NCAA Tournament opening-round win over Queens.
• Averaged 7.3 points in the first three games of the Big Ten Tournament, going 8-of-19 (.421) from the field.

SUMMER 2025
• Mayer played with Israel in the FIBA U19 World Cup in Switzerland, averaging 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game in four games of action. He missed the last two games with a minor finger injury.
• Ranked second in the tournament in scoring (20.0 PPG) and ninth in steals (2.0). Made 13-of-34 (.382) from long distance. 
• Had one of the tournaments top performances in a big comeback win over Cameroon, scoring 33 points (the most in a game in the tournament) with seven assists, five rebounds and four steals to lead Israel to the quarterfinals. 
• Also had 24 points with four rebounds and four assists in the tournament opener vs. Switzerland.
• The next week, Mayer played in the FIBA U20 EuroBasket Championship, helping Israel to a sixth-place finish, averaging 16.7 points (6th) and 5.1 assists (5th), while making 19-of-51 (.373) 3-pointers, the second-most triples made in the tournament.
• Scored at least 18 points in five of the seven games and had a 24-point, 11-assist game in pool play vs. Poland.
• In 11 FIBA games over the summer, averaged 17.9 points, 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds, making 32-of-85 (.376) from long distance.
• Became Israel's all-time youth National Team leading scorer with 584 points.

HIGH SCHOOL / PRIOR TO PURDUE
• Omer Mayer enters his freshman season after a season of playing with Maccabi Tel Aviv, being a teammate of former Purdue great Trevion Williams, being just 18 years old and playing in arguably the second-best league in the world and Europe's top professional league.
• Will play with Team Israel in the 2019 FIBA U19 World Championships in Switzerland, beginning in late June.
• Mayer averaged 2.6 points and 2.0 assists per game, but finished with an 11-point, three-assist performance against Bayern Munich in his last contest, competing against former Purdue All-American Carsen Edwards.
• In April Earlier, Mayer traveled to Portland, Oregon, for the prestigious Nike World Hoop Summit. The event brought together 15 of America's and 15 top international prospects for a week of training, capped off by a game between the two squads. In the final game, Mayer had seven assists in 19 minutes of action.
• In 13 Israeli Premier League games, he averaged 5.5 points and 2.1 assists per game.
• Mayer also played the 2023-24 season with Maccabi Tel Aviv, and has been in their program since he was eight years old. During the 2023-24 season, Mayer became the youngest player in club history to score at 17 years old.
• He had a dominating performance last summer in the FIBA U18 EuroBasket Championships, averaging 18.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists, including a 16-point, 9-rebound, 8-assist effort against Slovenia in the third-place game. In a quarterfinal win over France, Mayer went for 31 points (6-of-11 from 3-point range) with six rebounds and four assists, then followed that up with another 31-point, 8-assist showing in a semifinal loss to Serbia.
