• Was the state runner-up and York finished the season ranked No. 15 nationally by USA Today/AVCA

• His father, Fritz, was on the Purdue basketball team's practice squad
• His mother, Denise, played volleyball at DePaul where she was a team captain and two-time team MVP
• His uncle, Adam, played football at Cincinnati and was named the Most Valuable Offensive Lineman
• His uncle, Ryan, played football for one season at Purdue as a defensive end
