HIGH SCHOOL
• Four-year varsity letterwinner for coach Scott Spada at Kalamazoo Central High School
• Also a four-year letterwinner in basketball, playing three years on varsity
• Two-time MLive.com Kalamazoo-area Dream Team selection as a two-way standout on the diamond
• MHSBCA East-West All-Star Game selection to earn the right to play in the state showcase at Comerica Park
• Enjoyed a breakout season as a junior, giving up just eight hits and one earned run while striking out 49 over 29 2/3 innings – posting school records for ERA (0.24) and batting average against (.082)
• Had over 100 career hits at the plate for KCHS
• Helped his team district titles in basketball as a senior, junior and freshman
• Also played travel ball in the summer for the Motor City Hitdogs
