WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women’s basketball team has unveiled its non-conference slate for the 2026-27 season, featuring nine home contests, two at a neutral site and one on the road.
Head coach Katie Gearlds enters her sixth season at the helm of her alma mater. Purdue returns upperclassmen Taylor Henderson, Saige Stahl and McKenna Layden, as well as sophomore Avery Gordon from the 2025-26 roster.
Purdue’s roster will feature 10 newcomers after dipping into the portal to welcome in guards Hannah Wickstrom, Kyndall Hunter, Jelena Bulajić, Aysia Proctor and forwards Averi Aaron and Anjela Minja. The all-international freshman class features Katka Šedivá from Slovakia, Keona Douwstra from the Netherlands, Zoja Stirn from Slovenia and Maya Zilbershlag from Israel.
The season tips off Nov. 2 against IU Indy to open a four-game homestand against Eastern Michigan (Nov. 5), Southeast Missouri State (Nov. 10) and Samford (Nov. 15).
Following games against Florida State (Nov. 19) and Texas Tech (Nov. 21) at the WBCA Showcase at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla., the Boilermakers will take on Murray State (Nov. 25) and UT Martin (Nov. 29) at Mackey Arena before the Big Ten opener in early December.
The final four games of the non-conference slate start with a two home contests against Central Michigan on Dec. 10 and Eastern Illinois on Dec. 13 before hitting the road for the first time to play Dayton on Dec. 19 and wrapping up against Western Michigan on Dec. 22 at Mackey Arena.
Purdue will face UIC in the lone exhibition before the season on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Mackey Arena.
