WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women’s basketball team will head to Walt Disney World to compete in the third annual WBCA Showcase this November at the State Farm Field House at the ESPN Wide World Sports Complex.
The Boilermakers will square off with Florida State on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m., before taking on Texas Tech at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21.
Broadcast information will be announced at a later date. The remainder of Purdue's non-conference slate will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Boilermakers will meet Florida State for the third time since 2021-22, splitting the two previous contests. Purdue picked up the first win of the Katie Gearlds era with a 66-61 win over the No. 17 Seminoles in 2021 at the St. Pete Showcase, overcoming a 27-point run by Florida State led by Cassidy Hardin's 18 points on six 3-pointers.
Purdue is 2-0 all-time against Texas Tech. The two sides first met in the 2001 NCAA Mideast Regional semifinals when Katie Douglas sank a runner with 30 seconds to play to lift the Boilermakers to a 74-72 win in Birmingham, Ala.
The State Farm Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex has a storied history of hosting elite men’s and women’s college basketball events, including the ESPN Events Invitational that has been held there since 2006, as well as the WBCA Showcase.
Tickets for the WBCA Showcase are on sale now exclusively through Ticketmaster by clicking here. Tickets start at only $25 with upgraded seating options available. All tickets will be sold online via Ticketmaster and delivered digitally. Tickets will not be available to purchase onsite at the State Farm Field House box office on game days.
