WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ā Thirty-one Purdue student-athletes earned their degrees this month as a new group of Purdue graduates is recognized by the university.
Led by football's 16 graduates, 13 teams had at least one student-athlete earn his or her degree this month. All-American Jaret Carpenter competed for both cross country and track & field during his career.
For the 2020 calendar year, Purdue Athletics had 92 student-athletes graduate ā 47 in May, 14 in August and 31 in December.
The Athletics Department's December graduates earned degrees in a combined 19 different majors. Samara Miller (track & field) completed her master's degree in management this semester while serving as the president of the Boiler Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
