Purdue softball head coach Boo De Oliveira welcomed the No. 39 recruiting class in the nation

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue softball head coach Boo De Oliveira welcomed the No. 39 recruiting class in the nation according to Extra Inning Softball. The 2021 class is made up of five signees and will join the team for the 2021-22 season.

Four of the five signees are ranked among the top 50 in the nation in their position, including two in the top-25.

Signees includes outfielder Kyndall Bailey, pitcher/shortstop Tyrina Jones, pitcher Kendall Klochack, third/first baseman Olivia McFadden and catcher Ryen Rassi.

"All of the recruits in this class are individually ranked and have competed for high-caliber travel ball teams," said De Oliveira. "Their experiences competing against some of the best teams in the country will help them be ready to compete at the Power Five, Big Ten level. We look forward to these future Boilers making an immediate impact on our program."
 
Kyndall Bailey

Bailey on becoming a Boilermaker:

My goal is to never take this investment into my future lightly.  While I know that my experiences at Purdue will include fun times and hard work, I also understand that having the opportunity to graduate from Purdue University will provide a framework of potential rewards throughout my life. De Oliveira on Bailey:
"Kyndall has real-deal speed. She is an athletic outfielder who is a true triple-threat. She will not only hit for average and power, but she will for sure keep opposing catchers on their toes with her speed. We know that her combo of speed and power will help our team be successful."
 
Tyrina Jones

De Oliveira on Jones:
"Tyrina is the complete package, ranked not only as a top 25 pitcher, but as the 42nd overall player in the country. She is extremely athletic and very versatile, able to play middles and corners, as well as pitch. She hits for power and runs the bases with speed. Ty's work ethic is second to none and with her proven success against top-caliber teams, she will be a big-time impact player for us."
 
Kendall Klochack

"Kendall is the 18th ranked overall player in the country. She pitches to all quadrants with very good pitch movement and is a mature competitor on the mound. Kendall has faced some of the best hitters in the country and shown great success. She will make an immediate impact in the circle for us."

"Olivia is a solid hitter and defender who can play both corners. She is the 47th ranked overall player in the country and her power numbers back up that ranking. She has played at a very competitive level and we see her bat making a major impact on the stats column for the Boilers."
