Purdue Notes and Stats / Live Scoring
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Missing a key part of its lineup, the Purdue men's golf team looks to showcase its depth this weekend at the Windon Memorial Classic.
Boilermakers Wrap up Busy Stretch at Windon Memorial Classic
- The Purdue men's golf team wraps up its busy opening-season stretch with its third tournament in as many weeks to open the 2016-17 season. Action in the Windon Memorial Classic will get underway Sunday with 36 holes, followed by 18 holes on the 7,103-yard, par-72 North Shore Country Club layout.
- The field includes six of the nation's top-76 teams from last year's final Golfweek rankings, including No. 10-ranked Florida. Big Ten members Iowa, Michigan, Northwestern (host), Indiana, Wisconsin and Rutgers are also in the event.
Purdue at This Event
- The Boilermakers dominated last year's event, going wire-to-wire en route to a 15-shot victory over Michigan. Purdue shot a 22-under par 830 at Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe, Illinois, having four players finish in the top three of the individual race. The 830 score was the lowest, 54-hole score in school history, and Brian Carlson earned his first career victory by two shots.
- This marks the fourth straight year that Purdue will compete in the event, finishing 1st, T-6th and T-4th in the previous three events. This year's tournament will be played at the North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Illinois, the first time since 2010 the course has hosted the event.
Purdue Team Notes

- Purdue will be playing this weekend without Barco, who is representing Peru in the World Amateur Team Championships at Riviera Maya, Mexico. AJGA junior All-American Thomas Lewis will take his place in the lineup.
- It's early, but Purdue is averaging 289.60 strokes per 18 holes. The school record for strokes / 18 holes is 288.19 during the 2001-02 season.
