WILMETTE, Ill. - The Purdue women's golf team recovered from a tough second round to finish ninth at the Windy City Collegiate, hosted by Northwestern at Westmoreland Country Club on Tuesday. The Boilermakers shot two-over, 290, Tuesday to finish 11-over, 875, for the tournament, led by junior August Kim's top career individual performances for 18 and 54 holes.

Kim posted one of the best individual showing of the day Tuesday, shooting a career-best, four-under, 68, and tied for 14th for the tournament at two-under, 214, also a career-best for 54 holes. She played a blemish-free round on the afternoon, carding four birdies and 14 pars to vault herself 25 places (39 to 14) in the individual standings. Sophomore Marta Martin turned in the No. 2 score on the day for the Boilermakers, finishing one-over, 73, while classmate Linn Andersson and senior Anna Appert Lund wrapped up the team scoring with marks of 74 and 75, respectively.

Appert Lund finished two-over, 218, for the tournament, while Martin was seven-over, 223, Andersson was nine-over, 225, and freshman Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri came in 10-over, 226.

The host Wildcats shared the team title, matching Arizona and Georgia with team scores of 12-under, 852, while Arizona State was fourth at 11-under, 853. Georgia's Bailey Tardy took home medalist honors, shooting 12-under, 204, including back-to-back rounds of five-under, 67, to close the tournament.

The Boilermakers wrap up the fall slate Oct. 23 to 25 in Wilmington, N.C., at the Landfall Tradition.
