WILMINGTON, N.C. - The No. 18 Purdue women's golf team climbed a spot to sixth place on the leaderboard on Saturday at the 14th-annual Landfall Tradition, hosted by UNC Wilmington at the Country Club of Landfall Pete Dye Course. Sophomore Linn Andersson secured the Boilermakers' top individual round of the day, while senior Anna Appert Lund still holds a place in the top-20 of the tournament standings.
The Boilermakers finished 12-over par, 300, on Saturday, carding the seventh-best team score of the day. Andersson paced the squad with a round of even-par, 72, followed closely by junior teammate August Kim, who carded her second-straight score of two-over, 74. Kim is just outside the individual top-20, sitting tied for 23rd at four-over, 148, while Andersson is right behind her at five-over, 149, tied for 29th. Appert Lund and freshman Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri shared the third and fourth team scores of the afternoon, carding matching scores of five-over, 77.
Duke holds the top spot on the team leaderboard by 10 strokes, sitting five-under, 571, after two days of play. Oklahoma State sits in second at five-over, 581, while Alabama and Notre Dame are tied for third at nine-over, 585. Notre Dame's Isabella DiLisio still holds the individual lead, shooting two-under, 70, on Saturday to sit seven-under, 137, for the tournament. She owns a four-shot lead on UCF's Ashley Holder and Oklahoma State's Maddie McCrary.
