Tiffany Britten
Tiffany Britten is in her first season as a volunteer assistant throws coach. She recently completed a stellar career at Purdue, leaving as the school[apos]s record holder in the indoor and outdoor shot put. She also was a two-time NCAA Regional qualifier in the shot put, placing seventh in 2004. The Lafayette resident is currently enrolled in the School of Education working on her masters in college student personnel.

2004: (Outdoor) Recorded a school record in the shot put at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships to finish fourth ... broke her previous mark of 50-4, which she set the previous season, with a throw of 51-6.5 ... went on to place seventh in the shot put at the NCAA Mideast Regionals with a launch of 51- .75 ... recorded victories in the shot put at the Billy Hayes Invitational (48-10.25), the Purdue Invitational (47-2.5) and against Indiana (48-11.5) ... placed second in the shot put at the Penn Relay with a mark of 48-4.5 ... posted two seasonal bests against the Hoosiers in the discus (133-11) and the hammer throw (160-7).

2004 (Indoor) Finished first in the shot put in three meets ... shot put mark of 50-9 1/4 at Indiana State won the event and set a school record ... won shot put at season-opening Purdue Invitational with mark of 47-1 3/4 ... won third shot put event at Boilermaker Invitational with mark of 48-6 1/4 ... placed third with mark of 55-5 3/4 in weight throw at Purdue Invitational ... set season-high mark of 55-10 1/2 in weight throw at Husker Invitational ... competed in both shot put and weight throw at Big Ten Championships, finishing fourth in shot put with a mark of 49-7 1/4 and 14th in weight throw with a 53-2 1/4 mark.

2003: (Outdoor) Recorded a school record in the shot put at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships ... mark of 50-4 broke the 18-year-old record of Stacy Hartman (48-0) ... selected as Purdue[apos]s May Athlete of the Month for shattering the record ... shot put effort at conference championships placed her sixth ... registered five consecutive NCAA regional qualifying marks in the shot put ... winner of the shot put title at the Indy Relays with an effort of 44-8 3/4 ... finished runner-up in two events (hammer throw and shot put) at the Purdue Invite ... against Indiana placed second in the shot put with a launch of 47-11 3/4 ... posted seasonal bests in the discus (143-11) and hammer throw (157-4) at home meet against the Hoosiers ... (Indoor) Competed at the Big Ten Championships in the shot put and weight throw, recording season bests in both events ... shot put throw traveled 47-4 1/4 and weight throw landed at the 53-3 1/2 mark ... scored shot put victories at the Purdue Invitational and at the Boilermaker Invitational ... recorded a second win at the Boilermaker Invitational in the weight throw ... finished second in the weight throw at the Purdue Invitational ... posted three consecutive top-three showings in the shot put at the Indiana/Ohio triangular, vs. Indiana State and at the Indiana Invite.

2002: (Outdoor) Registered three hammer throws that flew past the 130-foot mark ... top hammer toss of 144-10 was recorded against Indiana ... also recorded best discus attempt (134-1) vs. the Hoosiers ... posted a season-best in the shot put (46-2 3/4) at the Billy Hayes Invitational ... took sixth place in the shot put at the Hurricane Invitational with a push of 44-4 1/4 ... earned runner up status in the shot put at the Boilermaker Open ... (Indoor) Winner of the shot put title at the Indiana State dual meet, posting a distance of 43-7 1/4 ... placed second in the shot put with a toss of 42- 1/2 at the Purdue Open.

2001: (Outdoor) Captured fourth place in the shot put and sixth in the discus at the Boilermaker Open ... recorded a sixth-place mark of 42-3 3/4 in the shot put at the Purdue Open ... registered a season best mark in the shot put of 45-9 3/4 ... best hammer throw effort of the season traveled 117-0 ... (Indoor) Winner of the shot put title at the season-opening Purdue Open ... recorded a winning mark of 42-11 ... placed third in the shot put against Indiana State with a throw of 43-2 1/2 ... finished second in the shot at the Fred Wilt Invitational, scoring a launch of 40-5.
