Colleen Schmit Hired as Softball Supervisor of Operations

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue softball head coach Magali Frezzotti announced the hiring of Colleen Schmit as the program’s new Supervisor of Operations.

Schmit is a familiar face on the Purdue campus after having served as an academic advisor for the university since 2025. During her time in academics, Schmit helped the Hospitality and Tourism management students with degree planning, career strategy and provided support for her advisees and their families.

Colleen is going to make an excellent Supervisor of Operations. She not only has softball experience but also has a strong background working in higher education and collegiate athletics. Her commitment to providing student-athletes with the best experience will be a staple in the way she impacts our program. She understands the privilege that it is to represent the Old Gold and Black and is committed to taking this program to new heights.
