Pro Boilers: NFL Week 5

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The NFL season rolled on through Week 5 with six Pro Boilers in action, including Payne Durham on primetime during Thursday Night Football.

Derrick Barnes recorded his third sack of the season and added four tackles in a 45-21 route of the Cardinals. He is fourth on the Lions in tackles (27) and sacks (3.0) this season. His sack total is one shy of tying his career high set last season.

With 130 kick return yards and 52 punt return yards against Washington, Charlie Jones became the second Giants' player since 1941 to have at least 130 and 50, respectively, in a game with the other by Domenik Hixon on Nov. 18, 2009. His 52 punt return yards are New York's highest single-game total since Gunner Olszewski had 108 on Dec. 31, 2023.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. had his highest offensive usage of the season for the Giants when he rushed three times and hauled in two passes for 25 yards against Washington. He was fourth on the team in receiving yards and paced New York's running backs. Marcus Mbow, also with New York, played just over half the game at right tackle due to injury.
