McKenzie Carle opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finishing a chance assisted by Jaiden Anderson and Emilia Deppe for her eighth goal of the season. Carle’s goal was her third consecutive in the last two matches after earning a brace against Illinois. Just over two minutes later, Anderson doubled the Boilermakers' advantage, with Gabriela Angulo and Lauren Adam providing the assists. Anderson’s 10th goal of the season puts her tied for fifth in the record book.
The Boilermakers continued their early offensive push, with Irene Campo making it 3-0 in the 22nd minute. Anderson recorded her second assist of the afternoon on Campo's fifth goal of the season. Purdue finished the opening half with seven shots, including five on target, and took a three-goal advantage into the break.
Minnesota created several chances early in the second half, but Wolf turned away three shots from Caroline Birdsell, including two in the opening three minutes of the half. Wolf finished the match with a career-high six saves on the afternoon.
Anderson led Purdue with seven shots, three on target, a goal and two assists. Carle added a goal on two shots, while Campo recorded a goal and one shot on target. Deppe, Angulo and Adam each added an assist.
