WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The 2026 NFL season moved into Week 2 with six Pro Boilers in action. Four of the former Boilermakers appeared in a primetime game.
Derrick Barnes again led Pro Boilers statistically with six tackles and a sack on Thursday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills. With a sack in back-to-back weeks to start the season, Barnes is already just two shy of tying his career high of four set last season. He is one of 20 players with multiple sacks this season.
George Karlaftis totaled five tackles in Kansas City's 33-30 overtime victory against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. He is up to eight tackles and three quarterback hits to help the Chiefs to a 2-0 start.
