Important things to know before heading to Ross-Ade Stadium this season

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Football is set to open its second season of the head coach Barry Odom era with the home opener against Indiana State on Friday night. Entering the 103rd season of Ross-Ade Stadium, fans should be aware of a few updates and reminders for game days this fall.

GAME DAY TIMELINE

3 hours prior to kickoff – Boilermaker Crossing (Weist Plaza) opens; shuttles begin; media gates open
2 hours, 15 minutes prior to kickoff - Team Walk on Tiller Drive (north plaza)
2 hours prior to kickoff - Pavilion (Gate K) opens
1 hour, 45 minutes prior to kickoff - Gate B opens to Ross-Ade Brigade members
1 hour, 30 minutes prior to kickoff – All general public gates open
5 Minutes prior to kickoff - Purdue football team takes the field!

The Purdue football team enters the stadium through Tiller Tunnel located in the northeast corner of the stadium. Be sure to make it to your seats in time to cheer on the Boilermakers as they take the field!

Parking Updates

There are several parking and transportation updates coming to Ross-Ade Stadium this season. ADA parking is now available in Armory and O-Lot on gameday, with H-Lot available for season ticket holders and JPC members only. New parking options are also available in Purdue West and M-Lot.

Shuttle Routes

Shuttle Routes

Shuttle routes have been updated to provide a more efficient gameday experience, with new pickup locations, improved mobility options and real-time shuttle tracking.
You can use the Purdue Athletics parking and shuttle map to view parking locations, shuttle routes, mobility cart routes and in-stadium amenities.
There are a few important changes to note:
  • For the north route, the NWAC pickup location will now be at the roundabout near Folk Field. This will significantly expedite shuttle route operations, leading to shorter wait times.
  • For the south route, Armory lot will be added as a shuttle pickup location and a limited mobility golf cart pickup location.
  • At each pickup/dropoff locations there will be QR codes for you to track shuttles in real time.

  • On the north side of Ross-Ade, north route shuttle buses will pickup/dropoff on Beering Drive, while south route buses will dropoff on Tiller Drive in front of Gate G. On the south side of Ross-Ade, both north and south routes will pickup/dropoff on Tower Drive near C-lot. Gold signs will indicate north route shuttle buses/pickup locations, and black signs to identify south shuttle buses/pickup locations. As seen in the image below.

Purdue Football vs. SIU

OpenGate

An updated entry process is coming to Ross-Ade Stadium. For increased safety and a more efficient entry experience, every gate will feature OPENGATE technology, a new security screening system. This was featured at all men's and women's basketball games last season in Mackey Arena.
Fans will walk through OPENGATE pillars that quickly screen bags and personal items, helping reduce manual bag checks and get you into the stadium faster. OPENGATE complies with international and federal safety standards, including requirements for pacemaker and ICD safety. If additional screening is needed, staff will direct you to a secondary screening area.
The clear bag policy remains in effect.

Friday Games Info

Friday Games Info

Two home games will take place on Friday nights this fall, including the season opener against Indiana State on Sept. 4.

Even though the Indiana State game will start at 7 p.m. and the Washington game will start at 8 p.m., the same timeline will be utilized for both games.

Important parking information for those games is listed below:

THURSDAY, DAY BEFORE GAME:

6 p.m. - RV lots open

FRIDAY, DAY OF GAME:

12 p.m. - Lots north of Stadium Ave + Grass Lots open (R, K, H, F, FB, G, GG, P, A, C, NWAC, J, U, Y, N, Q, S, Hilltop Loop, IM, M, Driving Range, CC Lots)

3 p.m. - Lots south of Stadium Ave open (W, O, BB, AA, FF, PGU, PGNW, BUS, Purdue West)

5 p.m. - PUSH Lot and Armory Lot open

  • Fans who arrive with a valid permit to lots W, O, FF, University St. Garage, Northwestern Garage, Bus Parking, or Purdue West between 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. will be redirected to a different lot.
  • Fans who arrive at PUSH or Armory lots (non-season permit lots) will be directed to purchase a pass in a different lot or return at 5 p.m.

REMINDERS

SOUTH END ZONE PATIO OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Open to the general public, the south end zone patio is a community space that is accessible via the south end zone stairwells behind the freestanding seating (not through the freestanding areas, which are still for students only). Gates A & B are still entrances for students only.

All fans are welcome to enjoy the south end zone patio throughout the game.

Same as in recent years, Purdue Athletics provides DIGITAL TICKETS ONLY for all home events. If fans wish to print their digital tickets, they may have them printed for $40 each at the Hayes Family Athletics Ticket Office on the east side of Mackey Arena.

Save your tickets to your phone's digital wallet before heading to the game to ensure they are ready to be scanned prior to reaching the gate!

STUDENT TICKET ENTRANCES

Designated entry points for student tickets are limited to gates A and B ONLY. All other gates are restricted from student ticket access. Upon arrival at Gate A or B, students will receive a wristband that allows them access to the student section. Anyone without a wristband will be removed from the student section.

Please note: should students fail to enter Ross-Ade Stadium through Gate A or B, they will be ineligible to receive a wristband and will not be granted access to the student section.

ROSS-ADE STADIUM REMAINS A SENSORY INCLUSIVE VENUE

Ahead of the 2024 season, Purdue Athletics announced a partnership with KultureCity to make Ross-Ade Stadium a sensory inclusive environment.

KultureCity's Sensory Inclusive program is designed to create a more welcoming experience for guests with sensory needs due to PTSD, autism, dementia, strokes and other similar conditions that affect roughly one in four individuals.

Fans are able to check out sensory bags, fidget tools, noise-canceling headphones, verbal cue cards and strobe reduction glasses. Additionally, Purdue Athletics game day employees have been trained and certified to best accommodate those with sensory needs.

The hassle-free quiet zone, designed for individuals who experience sensory overload, is located near Section 126 off the pavilion lobby. Signs mark the designated quiet area.

PRACTICE FIELDS REMAIN CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

Since the start of the 2025 season, fans may no longer utilize the football practice field walkways just north of the Kozuch Family Performance Complex. In previous years fans were able to cut through here on the way to the stadium, but it will remain closed for student-athlete safety.

PURDUE TEAM STORE

You'll find various merchandise stands positioned along the concourse, along with an exterior merchandise location. Permanent team stores are located at 714 Northwestern Ave and inside the Stewart Center.

Team store locations and hours:

Outside Ross-Ade Stadium:

  • Open 8 hours before kickoff (no earlier than 8 a.m.): 714 Northwestern Ave & inside Stewart Center
  • Open 6 hours before kickoff (no earlier than 9 a.m.): S Lot (Slayter Hill, corner of W Stadium Ave and Jischke Dr), North Plaza, Main stadium location (northeast side of stadium, shop from exterior until gates open, then interior opens)
  • Open 3 hours before kickoff: Driving range & Boilermaker Crossing trailer (located at Weist Plaza between Mackey Arena and Holloway Gymnasium)

Inside Ross-Ade Stadium:

  • Open 2 hours before kickoff: Pavilion 3rd floor lobby
  • Open 90 minutes before kickoff: Section 110 (main stadium location), 115, 125, 132, and the recently renovated south end zone patio

ADA ENTRANCE

With the elevator in the south side of the stadium, Gate A is designated for general public ADA access and student access ONLY.

Gates A & B are the designated student entry gates. Gate A also grants access to fans with ADA needs, where they may access the newly installed elevator.

Seat Backs

Seat Backs

Seat backs purchased for the season will be pre-installed. Season-long seat backs are no longer for sale.

Single game seat backs are $15 and available for purchase online, while supplies last. Customers who purchase single game seat backs can pick these up within 90 minutes of kickoff at the booth located near gate F.

NURSING POD

A nursing pod provided by Riley Children's Hospital is located on the concourse of the west side of Ross-Ade Stadium, near Section 126. Family restrooms are located by Sections 102, 108, 111, 119, 125, and at each first aid location near Gates EE and GG. Nursing can also be handled in either of the two first aid rooms at Gates EE and GG. There is also a first aid room in the pavilion on the third floor of the Shively Club.
