WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Nineteen members of Purdue Swimming & Diving – six divers and 13 swimmers – have been recognized for their academic excellence in conjunction with their athletic accomplishments, earning Scholar All-America accolades from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America.

The CSCAA honors student-athletes that achieved 3.5-plus grade-point averages during the spring semester/quarter or the full school year. First-team honorees competed at the NCAA Championships. Second-team honorees achieved an individual NCAA Championships qualifying time, an CSCAA National Invitational Championship (NIC) automatic qualifying time, or competed at their NCAA Diving Zone Championships meet.

Team GPAs also remained strong at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic. The Purdue men and women were recognized as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams again. The women posted a 3.52 team mark and the men compiled a 3.17 GPA for the spring semester. Teams are recognized each semester for having 3.0-plus GPAs and the Boilermakers are annually on the lists unveiled in January and July.

Wright was also Purdue’s female recipient of the Big Ten Medal of Honor for the 2025-26 school year, becoming the ninth Boilermaker diver since 2014 to earn the prestigious honor. The Olympian closed her career as a three-year CSCAA Scholar All-American.

Simons was also recognized in June as a second-team Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar by the EDU Ledger

Unlike Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten, freshmen are eligible for the CSCAA academic honor. Biko Hooper-Haviland earned Scholar All-America accolades after breaking the program record in the 200 butterfly during his freshman season.

Purdue had nine student-athletes this year earn all three academic honors – Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (3.7+ GPA for 2025-26 school year), CSCAA Scholar All-America (3.5+ GPA for 2025-26 school year) and Academic All-Big Ten (3.0+ cumulative GPA). Big Ten Distinguished Scholars will be announced next week.
