LOS ANGELES - The Purdue women's tennis team's trip to the west coast began at No. 10 Southern California on Friday, where the Boilermakers fell 0-4 to the Trojans.
The Boilermakers were shut out at USC captured the doubles point despite Ashlie Wilson and Kathryn Wilson earning a 6-1 win at position No. 2, springing the squad's momentum into singles action, where the Trojans went undefeated on every court.
Purdue has face seven top-50 teams over the last month, including its second top-10 opponent in the last three matches.
Purdue (7-13, 3-9 Big Ten) will close its season tomorrow at No. 19 UCLA. The match is set for a 3 p.m. ET first serve.
