KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – On the opening day of the women’s tennis ITA Ohio Valley Regionals qualifiers, Sophya Devas and Ida Clement advanced to the Round of 64 after they each picked up a pair of wins.
In total, Purdue posted a perfect record in the first round of the singles qualifier, going 5-0. Devas and Clement will join their fellow teammates Kathryn Wilson, Ece Gencer and Gutierrez in the main draw.
The Boilermakers will return to action tomorrow for the round of 64 of both doubles and singles play. Purdue’s doubles match times are set for 9 and 10 a.m. ET while the singles matches are slated for 11:30, 12:30, 1 and 1:30 p.m. ET.
