WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men’s basketball team has received recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for academic achievement during the 2024-25 calendar year.
As a team, the Boilermakers were honored with an Academic Excellence Award after owning a 3.10 GPA during the 2024-25 academic season. Through the spring semester, the team owned a cumulative 3.17 GPA with 12 of the 18 players on last year’s roster sporting a 3.0 GPA or better.
Purdue was one of seven Big Ten teams to receive the NABC team award and one of nine teams to receive the award that reached the Sweet 16.
To be eligible for the team award, teams must have completed the 2024-25 academic year with a combined 3.0 GPA or better.
In addition, four individuals were named to the NABC Honors Court. To be selected to that team, players must be a junior, senior or graduate student and own a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher.
Caleb Furst, Brian Waddell, Sam King and Fletcher Loyer all received Honors Court distinction.
