WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Outdoor Track & Field gears up for the 2025 Big Ten Outdoor Championships May 16-18 in Eugene, Ore.
Men's Notes
• 2025 Big Ten Indoor and reigning 2025 Big Ten Outdoor 200m Champion Cameron Miller ranks second in the conference with a 20.29 in his only race of the outdoor season. The time is the fifth-fastest wind legal mark in the NCAA.
• Antoine Spencer follows two spots behind Miller in the conference standings at No. 4 in the 200m (20.41) and is 15th in the NCAA.
• Miller, Spencer and Jahn Riley all make up three of the fourth spots on both the Big Ten's top 4x400m team (3:03.64) and third-ranked 4x100m team (39.35). Nolan Macklin rounds out the 4x100m and Brett Otterbacher rounds out the 4x400m.
• Andreas Hantson ranks third in the Big Ten and 14th in the NCAA in the decathlon (7,686 points). He finished second at the 2024 Big Ten Outdoor Championships.
• Caleb Williams sits fifth in the Big Ten 3000m steeplechase rankings with his school-record time of 8:40.44. He took fifth at least year's Big Tens in the steeplechase.
• Bode Gilkerson and Kaden Stewart are both eighth and ninth, respectively, in the Big Ten high jump rankings (2.13m / 6-11.75). Gilkerson scored points at the 2025 Big Ten Indoor Championships when he placed fourth with a personal-best clearance of 2.16m (7-01.00)
• Miller (200m), Bell (3000mS), Williams (3000mS), Andreas Hantson (decathlon), Logan Sandlin (decathlon), Grant Gogel (pole vault), Cale Ayers (hammer throw) and the 4x400m all scored points for Purdue at last season's outdoor Big Tens.
Women's Notes
• Jalen Elrod is second in the Big Ten and 13th in the national heptathlon rankings (5,544 points) heading into the championship season. She is coming off a second-place finish at the 2025 Big Ten Indoor Championships in the pentathlon.
• Angeline Amefia follows Elrod in the Big Ten heptathlon rankings at No. 4 (5,449 points). She will look to score points at Big Tens for the first time in her career after falling just short at the indoor meet finishing 10th.
• Zoe Sullivan is sixth in the 100mH (13.11) after she finished sixth in the 2025 Big Ten Indoor Championships. She has scored points in all three of her Big Ten competitions.
• Britannia Johnson enters Big Tens seventh in the discus (54.31m / 178-02). Her sister Britannie Johnson is 11th in the discus (174-00).
• The 4x400m team of Alyssa Tate, Alexia Smith, Mirai Bernard and Gia Clay ranks sixth in the Big Ten (3:35.42).
• Smith (400m), Sullivan (100mH), Emma Squires (3000mS), Bryanna Craig (heptathlon) and Jalen Elrod (heptathlon) and the 4x100m team all scored points for the Boilermakers at last year's outdoor Big Tens.
