WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Just a little over two weeks remain until the Purdue basketball team holds its semi-annual Alumni Game and intrasquad scrimmage at Mackey Arena on Aug. 5.
The Boilermakers will then depart for Europe to play four games against European squads, while spending 11 days in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Italy as part of a cultural, sight-seeing excursion.

Alumni Game / Intrasquad Scrimmage
- August 5 – Mackey Arena; 11 a.m. ET (doors open at 10 a.m. ET).
- Parking Info: Lot F (just north of Mackey Arena) and FB Staff (off Northwestern) will be closed and available by permit only, but every other space around Mackey Arena will be available on first-come, first-served basis. The sidewalk down Wooden Drive past the Boilermaker statue will be available for patrons to walk from Lot R and K (north of Ross-Ade Stadium).
- Ticket Info: Tickets for the lower bowl are sold out, but upper level general-admission tickets remain for $5.
- Concession stands will be open during the course of the games and a pop-up Purdue Team Store will have limited availability of merchandise. In addition, fans will be able to scan QR codes on their phones to the Purdue NIL team store to purchase player-driven merchandise.
- The Spurgeon Club and J Nine Club will be open to all fans. Due to Mackey Arena renovations, the Wooden Club will not be available.
- Fans will have the opportunity to take photos with the 2023 Big Ten Championship trophies, as well as Zach Edey's National Player of the Year trophies.
- Almost 30 former players have already committed to playing in the game, with another 30-40 players committed to attend. The alums will be honored before the intrasquad scrimmage with a special introduction of former head coach Gene Keady, who will enter the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Aug. 12.
- Former players expected to play include Rapheal Davis, Grady Eifert, Robbie Hummel, Terone Johnson, Chris Kramer, Maynard Lewis, Troy Lewis, David Teague, Lewis Jackson and Todd Mitchell, among others.
- Coaches for the teams are expected to be Gene Keady and Cuonzo Martin, and still waiting on confirmation of others.
- Format of the game is expected to be two, 20-minute halves with running clock.
European Trip
- August 7 to 18 – Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Italy
- Depart from Chicago on Aug. 7, and land in Munich, Germany on Aug. 8.
- August 9 – Game vs. Kickz Ibam (7 p.m. local time; Asam Arena, Munich)
- August 10 – Game vs. BG Hessing Kangaroos (7:30 p.m. local time; Mehrzweck Halle, Stadtbergen, Germany)
- August 11 – Game vs. SKN St. Polten (6 p.m. local time; Sport Zentrum, St. Polten, Austria)
- August 14 – Game vs. BK Brno (6 p.m. local time; Starez Arena Vodova, Brno Kralovo-Pole, Czech Republic)
- Live streaming: We are working with a provider to provide live streaming of Purdue's games in Europe. Stay tuned for more details as they become available. As an FYI, there will likely be a cost involved to view the games.
- Roster note: Zach Edey will not be with the Boilermakers in Europe, as he will be competing with Canada's National Team in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. He will be with Team Canada from July 31 to Sept. 11. Canada's National Team will play games in Germany and Spain before traveling to Indonesia for the World Cup. The medal round will be in Manila, Philippines from Sept. 6 to 10.
