Pro Boilers: Week 18

With week 18 we have reached the conclusion of the NFL regular season. Four active Boilermakers helped their teams fight their way into the playoffs as the rest prepare for the NFL offseason where we will welcome new Pro Boilers into the ranks. 

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –  With Week 18, we have reached the conclusion of the NFL regular season. Four active Boilermakers helped their teams fight their way into the playoffs as the rest prepare for the NFL offseason where we will welcome new Pro Boilers into the ranks. 
 
Markus Bailey – LB - Cincinnati Bengals
Helped the Bengals to a 27-16 win over the Ravens by making a tackle while contributing on 21 special teams snaps. These two teams will square off once again in the first round of the playoffs in the Sunday night slot.
 
Derrick Barnes – LB – Detroit Lions
Made three tackles in the season finale for the Lions that saw them beat the Packers to knock Aaron Rodgers and crew out of the playoffs. 
 
Ja'Whaun Bentley – LB - New England Patriots
Facing the Bills' vaunted offense, made seven tackles to lead the team once again. He also recovered a fumble that would lead to a field goal. 

David Bell – WR – Cleveland Browns
Targeted twice, but was unable to haul either in against the Steelers on Sunday. 
 
David Blough - QB - Arizona Cardinals
Started for the Cardinals for the second straight game and went 14-for-18 for 180 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler Coyle – S - Dallas Cowboys
Made his debut, getting elevated from the practice squad and making a career-high six tackles against the Commanders.

Brycen Hopkins - TE - Los Angeles Rams
Was unable to bring in his lone target in the final game of the season for the Rams in an OT loss to the Seahawks. 
 
Zander Horvath – FB - Los Angeles Chargers
Horvath was inactive due to an ankle injury as he hopes to get healthy with the Chargers already locked into a playoff spot. The Bolts will take on the Jaguars on Saturday night in Jacksonville. 
 
George Karlaftis – DE- Kansas City Chiefs
Recorded his sixth sack of the season and third in the last three games as the Chiefs locked up the number one overall seed with a win over the Raiders. He also recovered a fumble with 17 seconds left in the first half that would give Kansas City a last second field goal to extend their lead.

Dennis Kelly – OT – Indianapolis Colts
Played five snaps on special teams in the Colts' loss to the Texans. 
 
DaMarcus Mitchell – DE - New England Patriots
Made one tackle on nine special teams snaps in the Patriots' loss to the Bills. 

Raheem Mostert – RB - Miami Dolphins
Rushed 11 times for 71 yards and had two catches as the Dolphins gutted out an 11-6 win over the Jets to punch their ticket to the playoffs where they will face off against the Bills on Sunday afternoon.
