STILLWATER, Okla. – The Purdue cross country team will join an elite national field at the Weis-Crockett Invitational in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Saturday, October 15.
Competition commences with the men's 8k at 9:30 a.m. ET / 8:30 a.m. CT, followed by the women's 6k at 10:20 a.m. ET / 9:20 a.m. CT. Oklahoma State is hosting the meet at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.

Along with host-Oklahoma State, top-25 teams Arkansas, Cal Baptist and Montana State will race on Saturday, in addition to Big Ten foe Nebraska. The Boilermakers will be represented by eight men and eight women as they race against 28 other teams.
Saturday is the pre-nationals meet, as OSU is set to host the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships next month.
LAST TIME OUT: JOE PIANE INVITE
Two weeks ago, the Boilermakers raced against a highly-competitive field at the Joe Piane Invitational in Notre Dame, Indiana, on September 30. Running against numerous nationally-ranked teams in both the men's and women's blue division races, the Boilermaker women finished 17th as a team and the men were 18th. Senior Emma Tate led the women's squad, while sophomore Nathan Walker was the top finisher for the men.

In the final meet of the regular season, Purdue returns to competition next weekend at the Illini Open in Champaign, Illinois, on October 21. Two weeks from now, the postseason begins at the Big Ten Cross Country Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on October 28.
