Glitz Adds Wilson to 2022 Signing Class

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's tennis team added a new member to its dominating 2022-23 class signing Ashlie Wilson with a National Letter of Intent. Wilson will join the Boilermakers in the fall.

Wilson is the third member of the 2022 Purdue signing class including Kennedy Gibbs from Texas and Antonia Pareja from California.

"Ashlie is going to be a great addition to our program," head coach Laura Glitz said. "Throughout the recruiting process, Ashlie made it very clear that she was passionate about playing and representing Purdue so I know she will help us get back to an elite level."

The Indiana native has a 137 national ITA ranking and a 13-2 overall record. Wilson finished first team all state in Indiana singles the past two seasons.

In doubles, she went undefeated after finishing second at a national level three dominant duo event. Wilson closed out the Midwest in quarterfinals and is a Midwest level two doubles champion.

"Her game has tremendous potential as she possesses a big serve and forehand and she loves to come forward and finish points at the net. Ashlie had some good results this past summer and I look for her to improve a lot in college and make an impact in our program," Glitz said.

The Purdue 2022 class ties at No. 25 for recruiting according to TennisRecruiting.net.
