The Purdue men's tennis team will venture back out on the road for two matches this weekend. The Boilermakers will face Tulsa at 1 p.m. (ET) on Saturday before heading to Wichita State on Sunday at 2 p.m. (ET).

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's tennis team will venture back out on the road for two matches this weekend. The Boilermakers will face Tulsa at 1 p.m. (ET) on Saturday before heading to Wichita State on Sunday at 2 p.m. (ET).

Purdue took the opening doubles point at SMU but fell in four singles matches to lose 4-3. A couple of injuries picked up against the Mustangs forced an alteration against No. 24 Oklahoma, as Purdue fell 6-1.

• The Boilermakers are 2-1 all-time against Tulsa. Purdue has won the last two meetings when the Golden Hurricane was ranked No. 23 in 2016 and No. 45 in 2017.
• Purdue is 2-0 against Wichita State with the most recent matchup in 2016, a 4-3 win in Tulsa, Okla.
• Freshman Gabriele Brancatelli was the lone Boilermaker to go 2-0 on opening weekend against Oklahoma and SMU in singles.
Athell Bennett won his singles contest against SMU to improve to 5-4 on the year.
• Despite a tough first weekend of dual play, Rohan Sachdev continues to lead Purdue in singles wins this year with 10.
• Bennett has 78 singles victories in his career, one away from tying Andrew Wakefield (2000-03) for 10th in program history.
• Tulsa dropped the opening match of its 2022 season to California last weekend, 4-3. The Golden Hurricane have one doubles pairing ranked with Connor Di Marco and Kody Pearson at No. 60.
• Wichita State will open its 2022 season Saturday with a doubleheader against Saint Louis and Oral Roberts before facing the Boilermakers
