The Purdue women's basketball team is back at Mackey Arena on Sunday afternoon for a 2 p.m. tipoff against Denver on B1G+. The Boilermakers will open a three-game homestand against the Pioneers that will close out the non-conference slate before the holiday break.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.  The Purdue women's basketball team is back at Mackey Arena on Sunday afternoon for a 2 p.m. tipoff against Denver on B1G+. The Boilermakers will open a three-game homestand against the Pioneers that will close out the non-conference slate before the holiday break.

The Boilermakers played No. 8 Maryland tight on the road into the fourth quarter but fell 86-71 to the reigning Big Ten champs. Playing without Madison Layden and Ra Shaya Kyle, Brooke Moore stepped up in their absences to drop a season-high 22 points with a career-best six 3-pointers off the bench. Purdue shot a blistering 64% from the field in the first half and held a four-point lead at the break, the first time Maryland trailed to an unranked team at the half this season. The Terrapins bounced back in the second half, outscoring the Boilermakers 50-31.

• Purdue holds a 1-0 all-time series lead against Denver, winning 65-51 in the lone meeting in 2014.
• Purdue has posted two games with 12 made 3-pointer and four games of 30 attempts this season. Prior to 2021-22, the Boilermakers had made 12 or more triples eight times and attempted 30 or more just four times.
Jeanae Terry is averaging 8.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists over her last four outings.
