EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Purdue men's tennis team battled through a full slate of singles matches on the third day of the Big Ten Indoor Championships. The Boilermakers picked up five wins on the day, led by a pair from freshman Piotr Galus.
Galus took both of his matches in straight sets, beating Indiana's Nishanth Basavareddy 7-6(2), 6-3 and Josh Portnoy from host Michigan State 7-5, 6-3.
Fellow Polish compatriot Michal Wozniak picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win over Kazuki Matsuno fromMichigan State. Rookie Rohan Sachdev topped jagger Saylor from Indiana 6-2, 6-4. Gabriele Brancatelli added a 6-2, 6-1 win over Nick Williams from Michigan State.
