WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Following a deep run at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional last weekend in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the Purdue women's tennis team will head to sunnier climates this weekend for the FIU Invite in Miami.
The Boilermakers will square up against a trio of schools from the Sunshine State in FAU, USF and host FIU.
Play begins Friday with a doubles set against FIU, followed by singles action against USF. Saturday will feature doubles against FAU and singles against FIU, before Sunday's doubles finale against USF and singles against FAU.
The Boilermakers will play their second straight weekend, following a solid performance at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional. Junior Csilla Fodor made her way to the semifinals of the singles flight, winning five matches in the process to move to 8-1 this fall.
A quintet of Boilermakers advanced to the round of 32, while Fodor and freshman Carmen Gallardo Guevara reached the round of 16. Guevara is now 5-2 this fall, while sophomore Rut Galindo is 6-1.
In doubles, head coach Laura Glitz has continued to work through multiple pairings, as Purdue has featured eight different teams through two tournaments this fall.
A recap of each day will be posted to PurdueSports.com.
