WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's tennis team returns after a two-week hiatus to continue its fall schedule this weekend at the UC/Xavier Invitational. The Boilermakers will split matches between Cincinnati's Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center and Xavier's Jim and Mary Brockhoff Tennis Facility.
The Boilermakers opened the fall slate on Sept. 24 with a three-day, hidden-dual Purdue Invite at the Schwratz Tennis Center. The Boilermakers' full roster took part in the event with Csilla Fodor and Rut Galindo posting perfect 3-0 marks in singles action.
Rotating doubles partnerships throughout the weekend to test different lineups, head coach Laura Glitz paired freshmen Tara Milic and Juana Larranaga together to go 2-1, while returning tandem Seira Shimizu and Galindo won both of their matches.
The UC/Xavier Invitational will not have live stats during the event due to multiple locations. Purdue will face players from hosts Cincinnati and Xavier, while other competing programs are Bellarmine, Indiana, Miami University, Northern Kentucky and Ohio State.
