WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's tennis team unveiled its seven-tournament fall schedule that will have the Boilermakers playing in six different states between September and November.
Head coach Laura Glitz, the program's all-time winningest coach, enters her 15th season at the helm of the program with a talented roster of veterans and newcomers. The eight-woman squad sees the return of Csilla Fodor, Nathalia Wolf Gasparin, Seira Shimizu and Rut Galindo. The 2021 signing class features a powerful group of fresh faces with Jamilah Snells, Tara Milic, Juana Larranaga and Carmen Gallardo Guevara.
A select group of Boilermakers will open the fall at the prestigious Milwaukee Classic on Sept. 18-20. Fodor made her Purdue debut at the invitational in 2019.
The squad will then host its annual fall event with the Purdue Invitational at the Schwartz Tennis Center on Sept. 24-26. Shimizu claimed the consolation singles flight title in the 2019 edition.
Heading into a packed October, the Boilermakers will be in action four times during the month. Purdue will send a few student-athletes to the ITA All-American Championships in Charleston, S.C., from Oct. 4-10. The rest of the squad till take part in Pam Whitehead UC Fall Invitational hosted by Cincinnati on Oct. 8-10.
Following an off weekend, the Boilermakers will travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the annual ITA Ohio Valley Regionals at Middle Tennessee State aiming to earn a spot in the ITA National Fall Championships on Nov. 4-7 in San Diego.
Purdue will wrap up October at the FIU Invitational in Miami on Oct. 29-31, before closing out he fall for good at the FGCU Classic on Nov. 5-7.
