WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's tennis team will return to the courts for the first time since early March to host the Purdue Invite this weekend at the Schwartz Tennis Center.

No spectators will be admitted at the Schwartz Tennis Center all season. Fans are encouraged to watch the live stream of all home matches.

The Boilermakers will square off with Illinois on Friday at 2 p.m., Iowa on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Michigan State on Sunday at 1 p.m. All matches will be treated as individual contests without team scores.

Head coach Laura Glitz enters her 14th season at the helm in West Lafayette with an experienced roster. With seven returners from a 2020 squad that went 5-8 and was ranked as high as No. 44 in the nation before play was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Boilermakers will play their first in their competition since March 8 of last year, a span of 327 days.

2020 Big Ten All-Conference selection Ena Babic headlines a deep squad that made significant strides in singles and doubles during the 2019-20 campaign. Despite the graduation of Alex Sabe, Purdue welcomed former ITF World Junior No. 97 Rut Galindo into its ranks for the 2021 season.

A complete schedule for the 2021 dual season will be released by the Big Ten at a later date.
