WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – On Tuesday, the McDonald's All-American Games announced its nominees for its 2020 edition, and Purdue women's basketball Class of 2020 signees Madison Layden and Ra Shaya Kyle were named to the list.

"We are thrilled that Madison and Ra Shaya were nominated for McDonald's All-America honors," head coach Sharon Versyp said. "We are elated that people have noticed the skills that drew our attention to them. We look forward to watching them continue to showcase their talents to the nation and cannot wait them on campus this summer."

The duo comprised the No. 19-ranked recruiting class in the nation by ESPNW HoopGurlz. Kyle checked in at No. 36 on the national list, while Layden was ranked No. 57.

Layden became the first player in Howard County (Ind.) to score 2,000 points in a career. She has Northwestern High School off to a perfect 17-0 record and ranked No. 1 in the state in the all class and Class 4A polls.

Kyle has smashed several scoring records at Marion High School with games of 50 and 42 points, breaking the Giants' career and single-game marks. Kyle and Marion are 13-4 this season with a 5-2 mark in the North Central Athletic Conference.

The nominations mark the third consecutive year that the Boilermakers had two signees, after Bria Harmon and Rickie Woltman in 2019 and Kayana Traylor and Cassidy Hardin in 2018.
