WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Sophomores Eric Hunter Jr. and Aaron Wheeler posted 3-0 records in Purdue's first significant action of the season in front of about 3,000 fans at Mackey Arena.
 
Purdue's sophomores shone brightest in the scrimmage combining for 46 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists while shooting 18 of 33 from the field and 9 of 17 from long distance. Sasha Stefanovic led the Boilermakers with 16 points while making 4 of 7 from long range.
 
As a team, the Boilermakers shot 43 of 90 from the field (.478) and 18 of 36 (.500) from 3-point range. The Boilermakers had 31 assists against 17 turnovers for the day.
 
Wheeler tallied 15 points (6 of 9 FGs, 3 of 4 3Ps) with five rebounds and two assists. Hunter Jr. tallied 13 points with five assists and four rebounds, while Jahaad Proctor scored 12 points with three rebounds and two assists. Evan Boudreaux netted 11 points (3 of 4 3Ps) with five rebounds and three assists and Matt Haarms scored 10 points with six rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots.
 
Purdue's next action will come in its lone exhibition game Nov. 1, against Southern Indiana, tipping off at 8 p.m. ET.
