Boilermakers face Wildcats for a second time this season

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The No. 20 Purdue volleyball continues its Big Ten road swing with a visit to Northwestern Sunday, Oct. 12. The Boilermakers and Wildcats are set for an 8 p.m. ET first serve at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

QUICK HITS
- Purdue (10-4, 2-3 B1G) secured a tightly-contested match to Indiana, 3-2, Wednesday night in Bloomington.
- Freshman outside hitter Emma Ellis finished with a career-high 13 kills, while adding three assisted blocks and a solo stop for match point.
- Sophomore Grace Cleveland led all student-athletes with 23 kills on 69 swings. Her 20+ kill performance is the second of her career. She posted a career-best 25 kills against Eastern Michigan (9/21).
- Defensively, junior libero Jena Otec put together another 20+-dig performance, having 24 on the night. Overall, she has posted at least 20 digs in five of Purdue's 14 matches this season.
- Redshirt sophomore Hayley Bush collected her fifth double-double of the season with 56 assists and 17 digs. Overall, the setter owns 1,984 career sets and 344 career digs.

SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN
-The Wildcats are 9-8 on the season but 0-5 in Big Ten play.
- Earlier this week, Northwestern fell to No.7 Wisconsin in straight sets.
- Freshman Temi Thomas-Ailara, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter, leads the team with 4.26 kills per set while hitting .262. She also leads the Wildcats with 25 service aces on the season, averaging 0.44 per set. - - Junior Nia Robinson, a 6-2 outside hitter, chips in 3.44 kills per set. Sophomore Ella Grbac, a 6-foot-3 outside/opposite hitter, adds 2.20 kills per set.
- Redshirt senior Payton Chang, a 5-foot-10 setter, puts up 10.29 assists per set. Chang is a transfer from Stanford. Junior Lexi Pitsas, a 5-foot-6 libero, averages a team-best 4.0 digs per set.
