WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Eleven Purdue swimmers are set to race in a combined 14 events this week at USA Swimming's annual summer showcase, the Phillips 66 National Championships.

Stanford University's Avery Aquatic Center is serving as the host pool this year. The five-day long course meet is once again being contested at an outdoor aquatic center. Action begins Wednesday and continues through Sunday.

Nine active student-athletes and two alumni are slated to represent Purdue, with all but one competing for the Boilermaker Aquatics club. The list of active student-athletes includes Ryan Hrosik, Ryan Lawrence, Nick McDowell, Trent Pellini and Nick Sherman from the men's team as well as Megan Johnson, Riley Kishman, Natalie Myers and Maizie Seidl from the women's team.

Alumna Kaersten Meitz (2015-18) competes for the first time since winning gold medals for the United States in the 400-meter freestyle and 4x200 free relay at the World University Games earlier this month in Italy. She is the top seed in the 400 free via her winning time of 4:05.80 at the Summer Universiade. Meitz is also seeded sixth in both the 200 and 800 freestyle.

Alumnus Wyatt Hodges (2009-12) qualified for the 100-meter breaststroke again, this time as part of the Lobo Aquatic Club. The mechanical engineering graduate is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque. He continued to train and compete while earning his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at UC Berkeley from 2013 to 2018.

Trent Pellini qualified for nationals in four individual events and could race in as many as six total. He has an event on the schedule for each of the five days of competition. Nick McDowell returns to the distance freestyle events after winning the 200-meter free at the Indiana Senior State Championships on July 21.

Danny Tucker won the 100-meter freestyle at the 2013 U.S. Open Swimming Championships.

This page will be updated throughout the week with results and times for all the Boilermakers competing at nationals.
