The Purdue track & field program is slated to return to the track this weekend at the Jim Click Shootout. The events will begin on Thursday, April 4 and will run through Saturday, April 6.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue track & field program is slated to return to the track this weekend at the Jim Click Shootout. The events will begin on Thursday, April 4 and will run through Saturday, April 6.

The decathlon and heptathlon will kick off the meet with its events exclusively on Thursday and Friday. Meanwhile, the remaining field and running events will take place on Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET with the women's hammer throw. The 4x400m relay events will wrap up the meet later that evening, scheduled for a 12:05 a.m. ET start for the women, followed by the men at 12:15 a.m. ET.

The Boilermakers are set to take on Arizona, fellow Big Ten foe Minnesota, Oklahoma State, TCU, and USC. A total of 19 women and 21 men will represent Purdue at the meet.

Purdue is coming off an exciting men's 4x400m relay first-place finish at the Pepsi Florida Relays. The team of Jordan Hollis, Samson Colebrooke, Shawndail McLaren and Brian Faust notched a time of 3:05.58, which is the second-fastest time in program history. Additionally, it ranks as No. 4 in the B1G and No. 10 in the nation.

Faust, who anchored the relay team, produced the second-fastest time in Purdue 400m history with his time of 46.05, which also checks in at T-No. 8 in the nation.

Also ranking among the nation's top is the women's 4x400m relay team. Myia Dorsey, Jae'Nisa Heckstall, Brittney Cammpbell and Samara Miller combined for the fastest time in the Big Ten this year with a time of 3:35.73. Additionally, the team made of up 50 percent freshmen, ranks as 12th in the nation and is just outside of Purdue's all-time top marks.

Four Boilermakers will be competing in the multi events. Garrett Lee and Isaiah Martin along with Rebecca Coan and Kyara Muhammad will lead off Purdue with their events on Thursday and Friday.

This marks Purdue's first time at the Jim Click Shootout since 2015. The Boilermakers registered three school records and numerous other top five marks in their last appearance.
