WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
The Purdue women's golf team returns to The Woodlands Country Club for the third straight spring, set to tee off Monday at the University of Houston's Icon Invitational on Monday. The Boilermakers retain a top-30 ranking in both the Golfweek and Golfstat weekly polls, and are coming off a pair of solid performances to start the 2019 season.

The Boilermakers opened 2019 with a sixth-place effort at the UCF Challenge, topping five top-50 opponents, and followed with a seventh-place performance at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, defeating four more top-50 programs. Their finish in Puerto Rico was Purdue's best since 2015, despite a tough final round at Rio Mar Country Club's River Course. Freshman Danielle du Toit was the Boilermakers' top individual finisher, tying for 24th place at six-over par, 222.

Joining the Boilermaker rookie in Houston is the familiar cast of seniors Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri and Covadonga SanJuan, junior Micaela Farah and sophomore Inez Wanamarta. Four different Boilermakers have been the team's top finisher in a tournament in 2018-19, led by Farah who was Purdue's best individual at the UCF Challenge and the Windy City Collegiate Classic.
