Ambrosio Reaches Highest Ranking in Purdue History

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Silvia Ambrosio transferred to Purdue after her sophomore year from Marquette and has found a lot of success as a Boilermaker. The most recent ITA Rankings were no different as she made school history.

The senior has now achieved the highest ranking in Purdue women's tennis history. Amborsio is ranked No. 19 nationally in the latest ITA Fall ranking. The previous highest ranking was Hala Sufi at No. 29 in 2006.

This fall, Ambrosio found a lot of success that helped propel her to No. 19. She won the Milwaukee Classic, defeated multiple ranked opponents and found great success in the ITA National Fall Championships.

"Silvia has worked hard on and off the court over the last year, so I am very happy that this fall her results have reflected that work," Purdue head coach Laura Glitz said.
