WILMINGTON, N.C. -
Things are set up for an exciting finish at the 17th-annual Landfall Tradition, hosted by UNCW at the Country Club of Landfall Dye Course. After improving their team score by nine strokes in the second round the Purdue women's golf team is in ninth place after 36 holes, sitting four strokes out of fifth place in the stacked field at 27-over par (306-297=603).

After day one was rained out late in the round, Purdue finished up its first 18 holes before embarking on the second round. Sophomore Inez Wanamarta and freshman Danielle du Toit offered up the top scores of the opening 18, shooting matching totals of two-over 74. They backed it up in the second round as Wanamarta shot even par, while du Toit replicated her opening-round score of 74. Wanamarta is tied for seventh place on the individual leaderboard, while du Toit is tied for 16th, aiming for her second straight top-20 finish of the fall.

Junior Micaela Farah bounced back from a tough opening round to shoot three-over 75 in the second, and senior Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri and freshman RuQing Guan tied for the final team score of the day at four-over 76.

No. 8 Arkansas holds the team score lead at nine-over par, shooting three under Saturday, and own a six-shot advantage on second place South Carolina. Six shots separate fifth through 11th places as Big Ten Conference rivals Maryland, Michigan and Penn State all join the Boilermaker in the cluster. Only five individuals in the field are at par or better, led by Maryland's Virunpat Olankitkunchai at three under.

The Boilermakers will play the final round with Penn State and North Carolina State, going off on a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. ET. The tournament faced problems with the live scoring during the second round, but hopes to have those issues cleared up and have scores available at GolfStat.com in the final round.
