WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 15th-ranked Purdue women's golf team wraps up its fall season this weekend, heading to Wilmington, North Carolina for the 17th-annual Landfall Tradition. The Boilermakers have played in 12 of the 16 previous events and have had some of the most outstanding moments in program history at the Country Club of Landfall.
The event is Purdue's first three-day tournament of the 2018-19 season, as the Boilermakers will play 18 holes Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the 6,166-yard, par-72 course.
The Boilermakers look to continue their recent hot play, led by senior Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri and freshman Danielle du Toit, who each have four straight rounds of par or better. Junior Micaela Farah and freshman RuQing Guan have been impressive as well, both posting a pair of rounds under par last tournament, and sophomore Inez Wanamarta will make her 2018-19 debut after sitting out the first two events of the season.
The 2018 Landfall Tradition features another loaded field, including three top-10 squads and seven of the top-25. Seventh-ranked Duke captured the 2017 event title, while Michigan State and South Carolina also posted top-five performances last season.

Micaela Farah, Junior: Posted the two lowest rounds of her career at the Illini Women's Invitational, scoring an opening-round, five-under 67, and shooting four-under 68 in the final round … has finished in the top-15 of each of the first two tournaments this season … has the team-low score in four of six rounds … owns the Boilermakers' best average on both par-3 and par-4 holes.
Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri, Junior: Logged a career-best 54-hole score at the Illini Women's Invitational, finishing eight-under par, 208, and tying for fourth place individually … has played four straight rounds of par or better, including a career-best 18 of four-under 68 in the second round at Medinah … leads the team with 20 birdies, an average of 3.3 per round this season.
Danielle du Toit, Freshman: Has four straight rounds under par entering the weekend, including all three at the Illini Women's Invitational … her 54-hole score of six-under 210 at Medinah is the third-lowest in Purdue history by a freshman … shot a final-round, five-under 67 to close the Windy City Collegiate, the third-best all-time mark by a Purdue freshman.
RuQing Guan, Freshman: Is 6-for-6 counting a team score in every round this season … tied for 13th at the Illini Women's Invitational, shooting three-under 213, including back-to-back rounds under par to finish the tournament … has made 16 birdies on the year.
Inez Wanamarta, Sophomore: Making her sophomore debut this weekend after one of the most impressive freshman campaigns in Purdue history … earned 2018 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and First Team All-Big Ten honors … set a Boilermaker freshman record, averaging 73.21 strokes over 33 rounds last year … set a Purdue freshman record with 12 rounds of par or better.
THE COURSE
A par-72, 6,166-yard venue, the Pete Dye Course at the Country Club of Landfall has played host to all 17 Landfall Tradition events. The course has hosted the NCAA Championships on two occasions as well, first hosting the national championship in 1995, and playing host to the Boilermakers' 2010 NCAA title.
