WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – After posting its best finish of the season, the Purdue men's golf team looks to keep it going this weekend at the Chatham Hills Invitational in Westfield, Indiana.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be contested Sunday and Monday at the Club at Chatham Hills in Westfield.
Purdue will bring seven players (five counting and two individuals) to the event, in hopes of maintaining its momentum from last weekend. Seniors Timmy Hildebrand and Jarle Volden and sophomores Cole Bradley and Joe Weiler will be on the counting team. The fifth spot will be held by freshman Andrew Lewis, who will see his first career action this weekend. Jason Hong and Thomas Lewis will compete as individuals.
The field features three teams ranked in the nation's top 50 according to Golfweek, and four more ranked in the top 100.

PURDUE LINEUP
- Timmy Hildebrand, Senior: Ranked No. 22 nationally in the latest Golfweek rankings … has had an outstanding start to the season, placing in the top 11 in all four events, including T-6th, T-6th and T-3rd in the last three events … became the seventh player in school history with two 66s (or better) in the same season … owns a 70.33 stroke average and is a cumulative 11-under par in his 12 rounds … has led the team in scoring in eight rounds and all four events.
- Jarle Volden, Senior: Posted his third career top-10 finish with a T-8th showing at the Intercollegiate at the Grove … his second-round 64 was the third-best round in school history and second-best round in relation to par … now ranks 14th on the career stroke average list (74.36).
- Cole Bradley, Sophomore: Posted his best career finish with a seventh-place showing at the Intercollegiate at the Grove (72-69-71=212), good for his first top-10 showing … six of his 12 rounds have been even or under-par, including four straight … now ranks 12th on the Purdue career strokes average list (74.25).
- Joe Weiler, Sophomore: Recorded his best career finish (T-27th) at the Intercollegiate at the Grove … has had a counting score in all 12 rounds this year, the only player to do that … posted his first even or under-par rounds of the season during the last two rounds at the Intercollegiate at the Grove.
- Andrew Lewis, Freshman: Will see his first career action this coming weekend … a standout at Westfield High School, Lewis was the No. 35-ranked high school senior in the country a year ago … helped Westfield to state titles in 2015 and 2016 … was a Rolex Junior All-American after an outstanding 2016 season.
- Thomas Lewis, Junior: Has appeared in all four events this season … best finish of the season came in the season-opening Gopher Invitational (T-49th).
- Jason Hong, Sophomore: Starting to pick it up after a slow start, finishing T-39th at the Intercollegiate at the Grove … averaged 78.75 strokes per round in his first four rounds of the season; over the last two rounds, is averaging 73.50 strokes per round.
THE COURSE
A Pete Dye design, the Club at Chatham Hills will play 7,215 yards and par-72. Finished in 2016, the land upon which the entire complex was built had been owned by the same family for eight generations and was originally purchased as part of the Northwest Territory.
