WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- Former tennis player, Brooke Beier has been selected vice president of Purdue Research Foundation's Office of Technology Commercialization. She was promoted after serving 16 months as executive director of OTC by president Brian Edelman. While playing at Purdue, Beier was team captain and racked up All-Big Ten selection honors, as well.

Head coach Laura Glitz said, "Brooke is a role model for the perfect student athlete. She excelled in the classroom, on the court and in the community. Brooke was one of the hardest workers on our team and that not only translates on the court, but in every aspect of her life. I use Brooke as an example when I speak to student athletes about academic and athletic balance at Purdue and how it's difficult, but it can done if you are disciplined. That type of discipline is something that I admire in Brooke and she brought that attitude every day to our tennis program."

All the hard work has paid off for Beier.
