WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Fans have an opportunity to watch their Boilermakers in action at Holloway Gymnasium on Saturday. Purdue is set to host Fort Wayne and Ball State in a pair of exhibition contests beginning with the Mastodons at 11 a.m. ET.
Both matches are open to the public and free of admission. The Boilermakers are coming off a 2-2 split in an exhibition against Kentucky in which the offense tallied 54 kills off the hands of redshirt freshman setter Hayley Bush. Sherridan Atkinson led Purdue with 17 kills and a .438 hitting percentage on the right side with Caitlyn Newton complementing her on the outside with 10 kills and a .348 hitting percentage. The rising sophomore finished with eight digs as well, assisting rising senior libero Brooke Peters who registered nine digs on the night.
Purdue received a lot of efficient swings out of the middle as Shavona Cuttino and Erin Williams both hit .500 to combine for 15 kills. Cuttino added five block assists to lead the Boilermakers and go along with her eight kills.
