BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Purdue will have seven wrestlers battling through wrestlebacks during the second session of the Big Ten Championships inside Simon Skojdt Assembly Hall starting at 6 p.m. ET. Saturday's evening session features competition through the championship semifinals and up to, but not including, consolation semifinals.

Saturday's first session saw three Boilermakers win their first match and advance to the quarterfinals, but were unable to come out with the victory. Ben Thornton (125), Jacob Morrissey (174) and Christian Brunner (197) will look to recover from their losses in the second round of wrestlebacks.

Two Purdue grapplers avoided elimination by winning in the first round of wrestlebacks. Redshirt freshman Nate Limmex reversed Chris Perez of Indiana twice to shut out the No. 8 seed 4-0 at 149 pounds. A 14-2 major decision for Tanner Lynde against No. 14 Idris White of Maryland pushed the 11th-seeded Boilermaker into the second round of wrestlebacks at 184 pounds.

Luke Welch and Alex Griffin each received a bye in the consolation first round after a loss in their first match at 133 and 157 pounds, respectively.
