WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's tennis team enters is final home stand of the season this weekend, competing in two Big Ten matches over two days. The Boilermakers will first take on Michigan State at noon ET Saturday, followed by No. 10 Michigan at 11 a.m. Sunday. Both competitions will likely take place inside the Schwartz Tennis Center as inclement weather approaches Purdue's campus.

The team completes its home schedule April 8 and 9 against Northwestern and Illinois, respectively, with one competition in between the two sets of back-to-back matches. Saturday and Sunday's dates mark the first time this season that Purdue plays two days in a row.

Heading into Saturday, the Boilermakers dominate the all-time series record against Michigan State, winning 33 of 15 and nine of the last 10. The Spartans ended Purdue's win-streak last season with a 6-1 victory in East Lansing, Michigan.

Head coach Laura Glitz hopes her squad starts a new streak Saturday, while ending another; the Boilermakers are amidst an eight-match drought that dates back to Jan. 29 at Dartmouth. Should the team lose to the Spartans, the slip will likely extend through Sunday, as the team faces its highest ranked opponent in Michigan.

Purdue trails the Wolverines 13 to 41 all time and has lost 15 of the last 16 matches, including two in 2016. The Boilermakers first fell 5-2 on the road, and then again 4-0 in the opening round of the Big Ten tournament. Michigan was ranked in the top-15 nationally during both competitions. A win Sunday would earn Purdue its first over a top-10 opponent.
