CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Sophomore Linn Andersson shot a solid round of two-under par, 69, to tie for 11th place at the Hurricane Invitational as Purdue women's golf team placed 10th as play wrapped up Wednesday at The Biltmore Golf Course. Andersson made all three of her birdies on the back-nine Wednesday, and played a flawless front-nine as she turned in her second top-20 finish of her career.

Andersson had the Boilermakers' top individual score in two of the three rounds in Coral Gables, and Wednesday's score was the best individual effort of the tournament for the Old Gold and Black. She finished even-par, 213, for the three-day event, shooting par or better in 2-of-3 rounds. Junior August Kim and sophomore Marta Martin tied for next two team scores Wednesday, finishing one-over, 72, while senior Anna Appert Lund and freshman Covadonga SanJuan tied for the final team mark at five-over, 76. Purdue's five-over, 289, was its best single-round team score of the tournament.

Northwestern posted the top team score by 21 strokes, finishing 24-under, 828, and shooting eight-under, 276, on the final day. The Wildcats' Hannah Kim took home medalist honors, finishing 14-under, 199, including a final-round seven-under, 64, to win by five strokes.

The Boilermakers are off next weekend, returning to action on March 14 at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Arizona.
